High School Musical is coming back to its roots, with a fourth outing for the Disney hit scheduled to appear on our TV screens in 2010.
Bad news for fans of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron however, as neither will be appearing in the next installment. The fourth musical will center around a love triangle that is “set against the cross-town rivalry between the East High Wildcats and the West High Knights”.
The TV version will be written by Peter Barsocchini who was responsible for High School Musical 1, 2 and 3 so at least we have someone to look at disdainfully for another few years. Maybe it’s just me, but I do NOT get High School Musical at all and think it’s the cheesiest musical ever. Still, good news for those who enjoy the franchise and roll on 2010 for them.
Oh sheesh they really think this is all necessary. This is so off. I don’t think anyone would appreciate the idea. Can’t they be creative on something else? It seems like they’re running out of idea.
