US cheerleading series “Hellcats” finally has a UK release window. MTV has picked up the show and will be airing it some time in February. “Hellcats” aired in the US at the beginning of September and a few weeks later in Australia. It was given a full season order by The CW in October.
If you haven’t heard of the show, it stars Alyson Michalka as Marti Perkins, a pre-law college student who finds herself in need of a scholarship or she won’t be able to complete her law degree. It just so happens she’s a cheerleader, who rooms with a cheerleader and a cheerleader is injured the week she finds out about the scholarship. Yeah hardly the most deep storyline ever, but it works within the framework. Overall it’s not a terrible show and the cast is pretty good. Roll on February for you UK folk.

Actually her character was a Gymnast. When she finds out she needs a new scholarship because of the cut backs the cheerleader is already injured. And she even starts a mini cat fight with Ashley Tisdale’s character Savannah (the head cheerleader) and reallt has to fight to get onto the team for that scholarship. Before she made fun of cheerleaders.
I’m really looking forward to being able to watch full episodes of the show.
