Golden Globes cancelled

Golden Globes Cancelled

Hardly a huge shocker given every star due to appear, either as presenter or winner opted out of this years Golden Globe event due to the ongoing writers strike (yes, it is STILL going on). The ceremony was cancelled when NBC and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association decided this was best, given the massive boycott.

Don’t worry though, if you wanted to know who won and for what, you’ll still get to. Apparently the whole thing will be crammed into a one hour press conference where the winners will be announced. This will air when the actual Golden Globes were due to air, so all you’re really missing out on is more fashion talk than you ever want to hear in a lifetime, celebrities trying to look happy and pleased for another when they lose out on an award as said other actor takes the stage. Oh not to mention those elongated acceptance speeches, that generally include everyone from the family dog to God.

If God was going to go, perhaps they wouldn’t have been cancelled, although it seems no one is safe from the wrath of the writers… who have some very valid points by the way. Now if the big wigs would just sort things out so they could all get back to work we could get back to regular programming and not drown in a sea of reality garbage.
