Say goodbye to “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” (so to speak), the show has been axed – finally – by A&E. Debuting in 2006, the Gene Simmons led reality series followed the Kiss frontman and his family on their many ups and downs.
Seven seasons later, it’s time to say goodbye. This is no bad thing, the show had become more and more scripted as it went along, which kind of took away from the ‘reality’ aspects. Sure all reality series these days are scripted to a degree, but this one suffered from too many set pieces, despite it being advertised as ‘unscripted’.
