GenCon Oz – TV stars abound

You might not immediately think of TV when you think about geek conventions, but they do come with their own celebrity guest lists. Baltar and Apollo from Battlestar Galactica were set to appear at GenCon Australia, but cancelled last minute due to a scheduling clash. They’re been replaced with actors from Stargate: Atlantic and FireFly, so Oz geeks might want to check that out.

At the huge Comic-Con in San Diego the TV stars will be out in force, with numerous studios taking up booth space to highlight their series. Stars from shows like Prison Break, 24, Bones, The Simpsons, Dollhouse and others will be on hand in panels and to sign autographs etc.

Ahh if only I lived closer to San Diego, that sounds like a lot of fun.
