Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) leaves CSI

Is it just me or are CSI’s days numbered. Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) left the show recently, William Petersen (Gil Grissom) has only signed a one year contract and now news today that Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) is also leaving the series after this season. Apparently it was a mutual decision between Dourdan and the studio to not renew his contract.
CBS are playing a strange game of keeping schtum stating they neither “confirm or deny this information”, but given CSI execs are already looking for a replacement, they don’t really need to confirm or deny anything.
The new bod on the show will apparently be mal, late 20’s / early 30’s, smart, handsome and athletic. Sounds a little boring to me, but there you go.

why can’t CSI just be like the stories and have warrrick ressurect and have amenesia and be a better person. he did not have to gun down in an alley. now we have to wait all summer to see what happens. darn

I am really devasted that Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) is leaving CSI! He sure is something to look at. I like his character-he’s cocky and I like that. He is really going to be missed! What a fine CSI!!

This was my saddest day in t.v. Even though the rumors were out there. I still had hope. I don’t care what was going on behind the scenes, MAKE IT WORK. He was surely an asset and a EXCELLENT FANTASY, I’ll miss him. He truly had my undivide attention when he was center stage. I feel ratings will truly DROP. I guess I can take that $100.00, I was spending to make certain I had their series dvd and spend it at the clothing store. As so many faithful collectors should.

I have a full time job, a family and I’m starting a biz of my own. I very seldom watch TV but when I do it’s news, sports, politics or CSI. I’m so sad to say that after last night I will no longer watch CSI…

I’ve watched CSI since the first season and after what happend to on the finale I believe I watched the last CSI episode. I understand about the personal life but look at Robert Downey Jr. Enough Said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sad that warrick brown got shot during the final episode. I was sad when sara sidle left CSI, now I was left thinking if warrick still on the next season or not. He is the only reason I am watching the show. I might not watch the next season’s episode if Warrick is not going to be there. I am still hoping that they do what they did in erik delco of CSI Miami or just think of anything so that warrick will be on the next season…plllssss!!!!! pretty please…. now I’m begging (lol).

You know..I didn’t think CSI had to go this route. Depressing in so many ways.
I loved the character of Warrick, it will be hard to watch CSI without both him and Sara.

I cannot believe this. I have every single CSI and CSI:NY dvd there is. I have watched since day one. I just watched the season finale half an hour ago, I don’t think I’ll ever get out of this shock. I would stop watching CSI but I have to stay faithful. They didn’t consider us fans when they killed him. What will we do now? How can anything ever be the same? Warrick was the COOLEST. He got all the best stories and had a great character and him and Catherine were just getting it on…
He had so much going for him :’(
He will never be forgotten.

I cannot believe this… I am actually so done in about Warricks death. It’s like a family member has died! I will feel like this when one of my family members or friends die. THAT’S HOW BAD THIS IS!!!!
‘Elle’ has a point. Why can’t they just do what they did in Miami with Delko?!?!?!?!?!?!
Give Gary some time to get over his drug problem or whatever he did wrong, and then bring him back a couple of months later. Just give him less air time or something…
I would actually degrade myself infront of the CSI producers if it meant bringing Warrick back.
Infact, I might even start watching CSI New York, or maybe even NCIS… At least if I watch them I won’t care if someone dies.
I AM WILLING TO STOOP TO NCIS OR NEW YORK BECAUSE OF WARRICK DYING!!!!!
SOMEONE STOP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow i’m really sad :/

I have been watching CSI since the beginning and have all fo the seasons on DVD. Warrick leaving is like a family member has died. I love the team, Grissom, who has left a few times but has come back and when Sara left I was feeling like CBS needed to get to work to keep the team together. We as fans have grown to love the CSI family and have made this cast a part of our family as well. I cried when Warrick was shot, he was a great CSI, good to look at and an asset to the team. I can’t understand why the network couldn’t stand behind him in his time of troubles. Many a star has had this problem, get help and move on. Have we all forgotten how hollywood has stood by Robert Downey Jr. all these years and given him a chance. The only difference between him and the Warrick character is their race, as they both had issues with drugs. If you support and stand behind one actor do the same for all actors. The profession in general is extremely demanding and stressful and many people deal with problems differently, as Warrick has made lots of money for CBS, the network should have been more supportive and helped him to seek the help necessary to beat the problem, not contribute to the problem by tossing him aside. I’LL MISS YOU WARRICK ! ! ! !

that was the worst thing to do taking Warrrick out, try to find the way to make hiim come back. the ratings will fall and without grissom the serie will disappear. good luck to those who will keep watching it

I was shocked to see Warwick shot, I couldn’t believe my eyes. He is an incredible actor and worked hard. He went through many trials on csi and survived. When I seen the bullet hit, I’m sure you could of done something to make him live. Bring him back and give him an increase in wage! He deserves it.
