From The Tudors to True Blood for James Frain

James Frain is headed from The Tudors over to True Blood. This post might be considered to have spoilers in it regarding his casting, so I’m forewarning you now in case you don’t want to know who he’ll be playing. Right James Frain is set to play Franklin Mott a new vampire character in the show, what makes this more interesting however is that he’s apparently a love interest for Tara. Looks like someone’s gone all fangbanger in season 3.

Frain is one of those actors with a recognizable face, but you can never quite put a name to it. He’s been in a ton of TV shows, including 24, Invasion, Fringe, FlashForward, The Closer, Grey’s Anatomy and of course The Tudors in which he played Thomas Cromwell. Season 3 of True Blood sounds like it’s hotting up, I hope it’s not quite as weird as season 2.
