From Stargate to Smallville for Michael Shanks

Fans of Michael Shanks will be happy to know he’s flown in and landed the role of Hawkman in an upcoming Smallville episode. The episode which is set to air in January is titled “Society” and will feature characters from The Justice Society. It will be penned by comic book writer Geoff Johns.

As well as Michael Shanks as Hawkman, Brent Stait will play Doctor Fate in the episode. Stait is probably best known for his role as Rev Bem in Andromeda, though he has appeared in many TV series, mostly in the sci-fi / fantasy genre.
