A new Firefly DVD or Blu-Ray box set? How could they, I already have the DVD disk set they released a couple of years ago in the UK, now they’re going to release another one, I’m having flashbacks to Star Wars and Indiana Jones multiple purchases all over again! Ahh well, this edition of Firefly may be Blu-Ray, so not so bad.
So how did this rumor begin, staite from the horses mouth… see what we did there? Staite…. Oh forget it. Actress Jewel Staite was chatting at a convention right here in the land of Oz a couple of weeks ago when she let a doozy out of the bag….
“I just heard they’re re-releasing Firefly, a special edition of Firefly in a boxed set. They actually asked me if I was able to come down to L.A. and do commentary in the Spring. So I think that would be fun.”
Staite didn’t stop there though, oh no, she muttered something about a sequel to Serenity as well, though we’re assuming that to be a bit more airy fairy than the Blu-Ray Firefly boxed set rumor, given most of the stars have other things on at the moment. We’ll see what happens though.
