Fantasia for Real the Fantasia Barrino reality show on VH1

American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is set to star in her own reality show titled Fantasia for Real. The show is being prepped by VH1 and will air on the channel January 2010 for an eight episode run. The show will follow Barrino as she not only deals with all her career throws ather, but also being a single mom.

It seems an odd choice given Barrino’s album sales haven’t been what people had hoped, still people do love watching C grade celebs in various reality outings so this will be no different. According to VH1 Executive VP Jeff Olde, fans will get a backstage pass into her real life as she confronts obstacles to realize her true potential as an artist, a mother, a daughter and a sister.”
