Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton in new sitcom

You would be right in thinking that life after Everybody Loves Raymond hasn’t been that great for most of the stars. Brad Garrett’s show ‘Til Death’ has been put on hiatus at the moment and Patricia Heaton’s venture with Kelsey Grammer in ‘Back to You’ was also cut short. Still, it seems there may be life after the hugely successful series after all.

Patricia Heaton has signed with ABC to star in a pilot for a new series called The Middle. The show will center around a Midwest family with Heaton playing the role of the mom. The show has been around for a few years but never made it into production. It was originally meant to star Ricki Lake, but ABC was always keen to get Heaton in the lead role.

At least Heaton is getting some work post-Raymond and it could be the perfect vehicle for her. Let’s see what comes of this one.
