Eurovision Song Contest Gets Even More Camp

Eurovision Song Contest Graham Norton

Just when you thought that the Eurovision Song Contest couldn’t get any more camp and over the top, it seems that the BBC are determined to make it so.

Terry Wogan, a loveable Irishman who has been a popular TV host on UK television for many years is looking to be replaced by yet another loveable Irishman – Graham Norton. It seems that after 30 years of hosting Europe’s biggest song contest, Wogan is stepping down and the BBC want Norton to step up to hosting duties.

The show has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for the UK in recent years, with most acts scoring low points overall, in part due to the political voting system many countries use where they only give points to their friendly neighbours. Having Norton onboard could add some much needed comic relief and light-entertainment value to the show, bringing back viewers. No word yet on whether it’s definite, but it sounds like it could be fun!
