It’s just mere months to go before the final episode of ER airs on US screens. The series finale airs March 12 and it’s been one hell of a ride. The show will most definitely leave a dent in the medical drama genre, despite other shows like Grey’s continuing on.
I never got into ER until around season 8 and it is one of those shows I truly wished I’d seen from the get go. It’s hard to believe the lives and loves of the staff at County General in Chicago have been with us all for 15 seasons! This makes it the longest running US medical drama in a primetime slot of all time.
Prepare to shed a tear or three come April 2009 [Thanks Ken].
I just saw on another blog dated 1/29/09 that: The two-hour final “ER” episode is scheduled to air April 2. Which info is more current?

I can’t believe ER is actually going off. I have been a faithful follower for all 15 years. I told my husband that I would cry every episode this season & I truly lived up to my word in the opener. When I heard this week that there were only 5 episodes left I almost started crying again. This has been such a wonderful medical drama…all the graphic details & not much of the “soap opera” storyline. God, I am going to miss ER!!
I know i cant believe tonight is going to be the last episode of E.R. It was such a wonderful show and i watched every single episode. There taking off all the really good shows, and putting really stupied ones on the air . All i know is there taking off a good show and E.R is going to be missed!!
