Edie Falco is Nurse Jackie

Nurse Jackie is the present name of Edie Falco’s new black comedy series about a highly strung nurse and her pharmacist boyfriend Eddie. Edie Falco is a great actress, she’s really got style, so here’s hoping this series does good things.

There’s not much news about Nurse Jackie at the moment, though it has apparently started shooting. Oh you know we mentioned her boyfriend is a pharmacist? Should be handy given Jackie apparently has some ‘drug issues’.

The boyfriend Eddie will be played by another Sopranos regular in the form of Paul Schulze – Father Phil on The Sopranos. Also starring is Anna Deavere Smith as a hospital big wig – she was last seen on TV screens in The West Wing where she played Nancy McNally.
