Fans of Eastwick, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your show will end on 13 episodes and there will be no more. ABC opted not to order any more of the series, instead opting to order further episodes of The Forgotten starring Christian Slater.
Eastwick had been on a slippery slop for some time now, so this is no huge shock to anyone, what is rather surprising is more episodes of Slater vehicle The Forgotten being ordered. That show has never had great ratings by any means and has even been panned by more than a few critics. Out of both shows though, The Forgotten was definitely doing better ratings wise. Guess the girls magic wasn’t strong enough.
TOO BAD. Finally a TV show I actually made plans to watch weekly –gone….what could be trimmed are one or all of those so called “reality” tapes, and leave on a show that actually required acting—like the ‘witches’.
Paul Gross was great in this role and the girls were a perfectly selected set. I will miss being able to look forward to a regular guaranteed enjoyable TV experience.
