Doherty a definite for 90210

It comes as no great shock to most people that former wild child Shannen Doherty is back in the line up for the new 90210 spin-off. We reported she was probably going to return to the show some time ago. Now it’s confirmed.

Doherty will be reprising her role as Brenda Walsh on an episode this season, when she appears as guest director for the musical being produced by the Beverly Hills High students.

Doherty is joining previous cast mates Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth in returning to the show, but it looks like it’s only the guest spot at the moment. It would definitely have been cooler to have Brenda back for good, but at least a guest spot is a start. Maybe Doherty is just too cool for school now – although she could probably do with a regular job.
