So who watched new Canadian scifi / cop / drama series “Continuum”? As these types of series go I thought it was pretty good, though slightly cliche in its overall plot – wherein the terrorists are the bad guys, the cops are the good guys, the corporations are evil and the government is a failure. It all seems to reflect the worlds present standing in some odd manner.
Our female lead / hero Kiera Cameron (played by Rachel Nichols) is a good character, though seemingly unperturbed by the fact she’s been flung back in time 70 years, aside from missing her son (well she is a woman on TV, a mother, so this was to be expected). A good first episode to what could be a really intriguing series, the only thing I’d change is the firearms person, seriously, you cannot take cover behind tin cans or glass if the people shooting at you are using long arm automatic weapons. Sheesh.
