Guess I spoke too soon, Australia’s Channel 9 has brought down their arbitrary axe on yet another show. I’m beginning to wonder why I even bother watching Channel 9, or for that matter any of the major Australian TV channels.
Channel Nine in all their infinite wisdom will replace Dance Your Ass Off with repeats (or ‘pre-loved’ as one of the channels is touting) episodes of Two and a Half Men, well better shows we’ve already seen than new shows right Channel 9? Another show that might be getting the chop is Australia’s Perfect Couple. That show debuted with a mere thousand more viewers than Dance Your Ass Off had previously. Rumor has it Dance Your Ass Off will appear later in the year on new Nine Digital channel Go!
Oh and while we’re talking about crap shows getting the axe…. Channel Ten, why don’t you cancel the crap that is The 7PM Project. Sure Dance Your Ass Off was tacky, but it was a hell of a lot more entertaining than watching the disaster that is The 7PM Project.
at least the 7pm project didn’t get canceled after 1 episode…aw too soon and at least the 7pm project has a audience that wasn’t a chirping cricket.
Thank all things good that this garbage show was axed, now we have to get rid of Perfect Couple and that farmer show! These show have zero entertainment (unless you are a voyuer) and Angela’s last paragraph shows she has no idea of what makes a good show.
Thank you Liam for your enlightened response. Sadly I am not the only person stunned at the utter crappedness that is The 7PM Project with even the execs at Channel Ten all in a tizz about just what to do with this floundering nightmare.
So it seems Angela does know a little bit about TV and for the record I never stated Dance Your Ass Off was some sort of televisual masterpiece, purely tacky entertainment.

Angela, there is no way Dance Your Ass Off was worse than the 7pm Project. I actually quite enjoy the show and I’m sure a lot of the younger generation does too. It’s the news, but it’s more fun and more of a lighter side.
The younger generation? How old do you think I am? Given the absolute tiz Channel Ten find themselves in at the moment with The 7PM Project and its ever lowering ratings, clearly not all of the younger generation feels the same.
