Coming out party on Galactica as two regular crewmen come out of the bulkhead closet
SPOILER ALERT: We say who’s gay… Battlestar Galactica does it again. Yes, it’s giving the fans a homosexual love story and not making a huge deal out of it. After the success of Razor, that clearly showed Cain and Gina in a romantic relationship, BSG is outing another two characters in some upcoming webisodes and they’re series regulars.
Geek site Lesbian Geek have reported the news and had actually suggested one of the characters way back in May this year. Two recurring characters will be coming out of the closet and if you don’t want to know who they are, stop reading…. NOW.
The two who are being outed are Lt Hoshi and Lt Gaeta, which is a great move by Ron Moore. Gay male characters can often be more difficult to introduce in major shows, so good on Moore for taking that step. Shame he took so long to do it though with only 10 episodes left of the entire show.
