Chris Carter Hospitalized

The X-Files creator Chris Carter has been admitted to hospital for exhaustion. Apparently it was brought on by his ‘acute sleeping disorder and physical exhaustion’.

Most likely the poor showing at the box office for The X-Files: I Want to Believe hasn’t helped Carter’s condition. Critics have slammed the movie as self-indulgent and plotless while fans have been disappointed in the plot, even though they’ve welcomed a return of Mulder and Scully.

With David Duchovny’s recent admittance to rehab for sex addiction, this is another blow to the X-Files team. Hopefully Carter will make a full recovery soon and will be back at work on his new movie Fencewalker.
