Celebrity Masterchef line up revealed

Celebrity Masterchef Australia

Since the end of Masterchef Australia, a nation of addicted TV watchers have pined for information on when the next season would start. To quell those desires, Channel Ten have decided to run with a ‘celebrity’ version of the show, although in fairness, there aren’t many actual celebs in the line up.

The official contestants revealed so far will be: Alex Perry, Michelle Bridges, Indira Naidoo, Kathleen de Leon Jones, Eamon Sullivan, Peter Fitzsimons, Lisa Wilkinson, Vince Colosimo, Kirk Pengilly, Rachel Finch and Anna Bligh. Most of us are hard-pressed to even know who these people are and with another round of contestants being revealed this week, it’s unlikely that they’ll be any more well-known.

Perhaps the most interesting so far is Anna Bligh, current Premier of Queensland. She’s stated that she’ll appear on the show during her holidays and aims to promote local produce. She also stated that all the money raised will of course be given to a charity. No doubt this will still lead to a lot of negative press, particularly from the opposition, but good on Anna for giving it a go and putting herself out there.
