CBS Reveal Big 2008-2009 Season

CBS Lineup 2008 - 2009

Hot on the heels of our report on The CW’s upcoming season, CBS have also revealed which shows will be returning and which won’t over at their own network.

Shows that have been given the boot are Moonlight (as we reported recently), Kid Nation, Viva Laughlin, Shark, Cane (boo!), Power of 10, Welcome to the Captain and Secret Talents of the Stars. Some decent shows in there, particularly Cane, Moonlight and even Viva Laughlin.

Shows that will be returning for another season include, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Big Bang Theory, Numb3rs, Survivor, The Amazing Race, CSI, CSI: Miami, Cold Case, The Ghost Whisperer, NCIS, The Unit, Rules of Engagement and more. It’s actually fairly unnerving when you look at how many big hit shows that CBS are running with at the moment. Not content with that of course they’re adding in some new shows to the helm.

As previously mentioned, Project Gary with Jay Mohr is scheduled as well as The Worst Week, The Mentalist, Eleventh Hour and The Ex List – looks like a bumper season for CBS. I can’t believe they canceled Cane!!

I loved Moonlight and hope another network will pick it up. Don’t know why it was cancelled but it was part of a great Friday night line up. I hardly watch TV networks, but the combination of Ghost Whisper, Moonlight and Numbers was dynamite and rarely missed a Friday night. I also prefer Vampires that try to overcome evil than swinging couples. But what do I know?

I do nit like the new CBS Friday line-up, so I only watch, Ghost Whisperer and Numbers.

Perhaps CBS will be smart enough to bring back Moonlight for 9PM. (Perhaos Not)
