Looks like “Castle” is set to get to know his pal – New York City Mayor Robert Weldon – that little bit better. We all know he’s great pals with the mayor in the show, it’s how he gets to bug Beckett in the first place, but we rarely see the mayor himself.
Word is with Derek Webster taking over the role from Joseph C. Phillips, we may well be seeing more of the mayor in upcoming episodes. Webster will be familiar with fans of “Damages”, in which he played Anthony Carter. He also played Judge Avery Beckland in a few episodes of “Harry’s Law” before landing the “Castle” gig.
