ABC is on a bit of a pick-up spree it seems, with the network picking up two more pilots. First up is Callie Khourie musical-drama series “Nashville”, a series set in.. wait for it… Nashville, it will follow the rise and fall of two country music artists.
Khouri is famous for writing “Thelma & Louise”, she will also executive produce the show alongside RJ Cutler who will direct. The other ABC pick-up of the week was “Americana”, a soap-styled series from Michael Seitzman, the man behind “North Country”. “Americana” will revolve around a fashion designer and his family business.
