Buck Rogers in the 25th Century getting a 3D movie adaptation?

If you heard me groan from right there where you’re reading this news, I wouldn’t be surprised. What is it with all this 3D malarky. Add in Paul W.S. Anderson and you’re no doubt going to get an explosive action title, with little plot and characterization. I think what this is called is a “no brainer” popcorn flick.

There’s no real details on this yet, no production date, no cast, but given it’s got the Buck Rogers name in the title, this will be huge. Anderson’s present title “Resident Evil: Afterlife” is in editing at the moment and will hit theaters later this year (September). I loved Buck Rogers in the 25th Century when I was quite a bit younger, it was one of the coolest shows on TV. Here’s hoping Anderson doesn’t screw that up.
