X-Men director Bryan Singer looks set to develop a 2012 based miniseries for the SyFy network.
Singer will be teaming up with producer Andrew Dean to bring to the screen an as-yet-unnamed six hour miniseries that will focus on the apocalyptic prophecies of 2012. For those who are out of the loop, 2012 has long been rumored to be the end of the world as it’s the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21 that year.
The show will center around a “thrilling action adventure story blending scientific fact and myth”. Sounds very similar to The Da Vinci Code, a little book that turned into a little movie you may or may not have heard of. The show is being written by The Chronicles of Narnia writer Michael Petroni alongside Passengers writer Michael Bond.
