The man from “Sherlock” (the UK version) has snagged a double role on “The Simpsons”. Benedict Cumberbatch will play both the British Prime Minister and another snake-like character (well let’s face it, the role of a world leader and snake-like character, not overly different… booyah!).
Sounds like Cumberbatch snagged the gig for being a bit ballsy and just asking for it. He was allegedly in the same studio “The Simpsons” voice work is done, overheard a conversation about an uncast role and essentially butted in and said “can I do it?”. I guess the old saying of ‘don’t ask, don’t get’ might be true.
