Battlestar and Bionic Woman Halted

The writers strike has finally hit the Battlestar and Bionic Woman sets. Looks like Katee Sackhoff is going to have a lot of free time on her hands, now that production has halted on both of the shows she’s presently working on. Canadian news sources are stating both shows halted production last week and left over 400 people without jobs.
This got us to thinking, we know the writers have a valid point or two, but is their strike affecting the livelihood of non related workers and how do they feel about that? The knock on effect from this looks like it may be felt well into next year, with some analysts suggesting other shows to shortly fall foul of the strike will be Supernatural, Smallville and Men in Trees (to name but a few).
As far as Bionic Woman goes, maybe this break is a good thing? Perhaps whoever is still able to work on the IP of this show should give their head a refreshing break and try and pick up the pieces with a fresh view and style–assuming it’s not to late.

It is too late. Bionic Woman was doomed by the first episode. The show is too dark and violent for broadcast television. It should have been on basic cable.
