Alicia Silverstone is set to play the mom of a 16 year old in her latest TV offering ‘Bad Mother’s Handbook’. Once you try and get your head around the fact the 32 year old Silverstone is playing mommy to the 19 year old Alia Shawkat we’ll continue, hey maybe just for laughs Alicia will hook up with some seriously old man, just to round off the Hollywood ageist issue ever so nicely.
Back to ‘Bad Mother’s Handbook’. The show was greenlit after the writers strike and is said to be a ‘family comedy’ by ABC. Alicia is good at comedy, but this hasn’t really helped her last few series captivate the viewers for very long. Here’s hoping Bad Mother’s Handbook does better than The Singles Table, Pink Collar and my personal favorite (out of her recent flops) Miss Match.
