So it’s already been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for fans of the Australian version of Big Brother. First we had Terri voted out in the first few hours, meaning all the ‘diversity’ they promised was wiped out with her. Left in her wake were a bunch of 20-early30 something’s, similar to most other BB seasons. When little Rima left after breaking her leg in the first Friday Night Games, all diversity was completely eradicated from the house other than Dixie.
No doubt sensitive to viewers feelings of being duped, BB then dropped the ‘bomb’ that infamous party boy Corey Worthington would be entering the house as a gatecrasher along with Terri who has just been booted a week before. As if that wasn’t enough, the three people who had been chosen by online voters as the people they’d most like in the house were also added to the mix. Maybe BB weren’t so bad after all?
But alas, no. BB still suck. This week Terri had to vote out two of the newcomers, essentially rendering all those months of online votes useless. Off went two newcomers, leaving Terri even more hated by the housemates. The only good to it all seems to be that the nominations are gone this season and the viewing public get to vote for who they want out of the house. Hopefully they’ll choose wisely and get rid of Rory, Nobbi and Rebecca.
