It’s a rumor, let’s get that out of the way first and it’s one that’s being whispered since before the show even ended. It seems a few of the cast have been chatting quite openly about talk of the film resurfacing. These whispers include the ‘fact’ there’s no script done as of yet, but Universal is very interested in following through. As well as this it seems all the major players in the show have agreed to reprise their roles should the big screen version go ahead.
Time will tell whether this one is true, let’s face it, The Sex and the City movie took long enough didn’t it. I kind of hope it is true, Arrested Development had something a lot of other comedy series don’t, a sort of style similar to that of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Arestted Dev was, still is on every viewing, an amazingly good show. Intelligent, witty and refreshingly respectful of its audience, ie. it doesn’t dumb down. I love this show. One of the best. I hope they make a movie, even if it’s only half as funny as the TV show it’ll be twice as funny as most of the movies that purport to be comedies.
