So what did you think of the first three to go through to the top 12 in American Idol? There wasn’t too many surprises, aside perhaps from Michael Sarver going through. Don’t get me wrong, he seems like a nice guy and everyone loves a working-class guy giving it a go, but really, Michael going through before Anoop? Seemed like an odd one and I’d say America got it wrong on that one.
The other two contestants to go through were Alexis Grace and Danny Gokey. Alexis deserved it more than anyone on that stage. She is an amazing singer, seems like a nice girl and has a good story which people always love. Then came Danny Gokey and Tatiana Del Toro. Danny went through, Tatiana never. It took her being dismissed from the show for us to see a little of her crazy side back again. She wept dramatically and at one point it looked like she was either going to faint or leave the stage.
So that’s the first group through and next weeks group looks a lot weaker. I’m not exactly sure how they picked the groups, but I’m fairly sure that there were a lot more prominent contestants in this round than there is next week. I still wish Stevie hadn’t listened to the judges advice of being “younger”. Oh well.
the producers of American Idol are obviously singling out Danny Gokey as their favorite, but i would like to see him win so i don’t mind
