90210 axed by Channel 10 Australia - Remaining episodes may appear Summer 09
Channel 10 Australia has axed “90210″ without so much as a thought for its viewership. The “Beverly Hills 90210″ spin-off series hit the ratings skids in Australia and channel 10 thought it best to just arbitrarily whip it from their schedule.
If you like your numbers - the pilot of “90210″ brought in around 840,000 viewers (not bad for Australia, but not superb). The episode that aired last week brought in around 616,000 essentially losing a quarter of its viewership since it debuted.
A Channel 10 bigwig was quoted as saying “90210 is an excellent show, that clearly resonated with a younger audience, but it didn’t have the kind of numbers needed to stay in this intensely competitive environment.” and then added so we took it off air without so much as a warning to its fans, even after we hyped it up to the max!.. Well he never really, but were he being completely honest he would have.
Apparently Channel 10 Australia may play the remaining episodes Summer 09 as filler… how kind of them.

ARGH! i was just getting into the show!…..ive been waiting all week to see it!….argh…….but i gotta find out via the internet its not on! Thanx alot channel ten! channel ten just seems to be going downhill these days, they have the crappiest shows and they make abrupt decisions without even giving consideration to those viewers who look forward to the show.

I hate reality tv finally they have a decent show on and it gets axed without notice they could have at least changed the time slot. So the fans could still watch it. I think channel 10 needs someone else in charge deciding what gets aired. TV stations have no idea what the public really want.
Every channel puts sport on the weekends if one channel put other programs on they would bring in the ratings. Could have put 90210 on there

all i gotta say to channel ten is WTF??? you say to air it in 09′ why can’t you just air it now because people who are interested in it want to SEE IT ! !. CHANGE THE TIME SLOT YOU WHACKS!!! Do you think that bringing back episodes likee what, 2 years laterr that ppl will respect that??
You know i was getting into that show. ive got the 5 seasons of the old version and i also liked this one.
The same thing happened to Big Brother you say it would be bak in 09′ do you think ppl are gonna respect that??
Now i don’t know about other ppl but only and only channel 10 slash our fave shows. someone’s obviousleyy incharged of taking this responsibility. which whoever it is doesn’t have respect for him/her if they are gonna keep doing this to fans of their fave tv shows.
no other channels ax stuff exept for channel 10. and ive noticed that if other channels do ax them they give them NOTICE!

I thought this show was probably the best show Channel 10 had on at the time. It was a bit annoying to hear 90210 will return to a new time on Fridays and then for it to be axed. Could put it in another time slot rather than axe it all together. I mean they’ve replaced ‘90210′ with Good News Week…

it was my favorite show after i watched the first episode…….Channel 10 could have at least said some thing about axing it but no i was sitting there last night after waiting over a week to see the next episode thinking it was going to be on but some movie came on i was not happy……..I don’t want to wait till summer to be able to see it and then it will probably but put on a some ridiculous time slot

watch it on www.surfthechannel.com its free and no dl just streaming. Stuff channel 10. Watch all the american shows on there. Californication is on there too!! So is Prison Break
So is gossip girl and alot of movies. No joining fee! Its great!

Its good to know I am not the only one who is completely pissed about 90210 being axed… They dont care about the viewers… Granted I do love supernatural… But that is the only show I watch on ten now… I am just waiting for the day they axe that too… Ohhh and Torchwood… Really got into that and of course they bumped that to HD… All channel 10 seem to do is axe or bump the good shows and put on crap… Like how many times do we need to see friends (even though I love it) or the simpsons (also good) but not when you see the same episodes a million times… The same as criminal intent and SVU… they say new episode next week and then it is a bloody repeat… Why cant they just get their acts together… I may just watch all my programs on line if they are going to screw us around this much… what a load of bull… TRY GIVING THE PROGRAMS A CHANCE…
