It’s been a great year for Tina Fey (love her!!). As a self-proclaimed geek, Fey has shown the world that it’s okay for women to be smart, funny and successful without necessarily fitting the traditional Hollywood looks mould. Not to say she’s not hot, she is, but in her own beautiful way.
Fey’s hit show 30 Rock proved to be a huge success at the Golden Globes, winning Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and a Globe for both her and Alex Baldwin as Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. By far however, the success of the evening was Fey’s acceptance speech.
She managed to deliver a short, succinct speech that was also funny – a difficult task for most at awards shows. She dedicated the award to the internet commenters who have bitched her this year and the most amusing aspect of that is that they were real commenters. So in honor of the lovely Liz Lemon/Tina Fey, to all those internet losers who dislike her – “suck it!”.
