24 Delayed by Fox

Given the present situation with the writers strike it’s of little surprise some shows would be affected and one of the big ones is 24. Fox has decided to delay the premiere of the 7^th season, which was due to air January 2008.

Fox stated the change was so that they can air the series without having to break (which let’s face it, can be annoying for the viewer). 24 swept the Emmy’s for the last two years, winning for outstanding sound, outstanding Directing for a drama series, outstanding drama series, outstanding lead actor, outstanding music and outstanding single-camera picture editing. Given the strength of the series, even in its upcoming 7^th season, the delay is a bit of a blow.
