Zoolander was a truly terrible film. It was unfunny, over-scripted, badly acted, and relied on an overabundance of cameos to achieve any kind of entertainment factor. It also marks the moment when Ben Stiller devolved into playing the same character in every single film he’s in.
So with all that in mind, a sequel sounds like a superb idea. No, seriously. John Hamburg, the person responsible for writing Zoolander (boo, hiss) spoke to MTV Movies about the possibility of making a sequel. With the original released in 2001, he sees a kind of decade later story evolving.
“Ben [Stiller] and I have talked about it for a little while. I think someday we will make that movie.”
“It’s best for sequels to wait 14-19 years, I think. I think to catch up with two male models ten years later, there’s a lot of room for comedy.”
Hamburg also has a title in mind for the ill-conceived movie – Twolander – which is actually quite clever. Unlike the film itself.
I know some people adored the original movie, and I know it was meant to be an over-the-top look at the world of fashion and our image-obsessed culture, but it just wasn’t very good. The plot was all over the place, the jokes not very funny, and the whole thing sat together about as well as an Israeli and a Palestinian at a Buddhist wedding.

Shut up you old Retard!!
You just showed that you have no idea what you’re talking about. Poor, poor taste.
Earth to Dave, clearly you should stick to reviewing the movies you understand. I don’t think you get it; Zoolander is not designed to be taken seriously. Im not saying that it’s an amazing movie, but it is definitely one of those moves that some love and others do not. Ido not believe you can make sweeping broad generalizations.
