Would ‘Three Men And A Bride’ Be The Most Unnecessary Sequel Ever?

Three Men And A Bride

Hollywood seems to be going through a bit of a crisis at present. Rather than developing exciting new movies that are going to become future classics, there seems to be a trend for remaking old films, or producing completely unnecessary sequels in order to make some easy money.

But while some of the remakes and sequels are actually being made due to public demand, there are a few that seem to go against all that is holy. And the biggest of these publicly undemanded turkeys looks set to be Three Men and A Bride, the second sequel to the God awful Three Men and A Baby.

Steve Guttenberg told Digital Spy how the film is being readied.

“Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and I are looking to make another Three Men And A Baby movie. It’s called Three Men And A Bride. The script is pretty much written and we are really keen to get that made. We’re very hopeful.”

Is this a joke or have gone completely insane? A movie starring Selleck, Danson, and Guttenberg, dealing with the little girl they adopted getting married 18 years after Three Men And A Little Lady. And that’s a film someone thinks it’s a good idea to make? Sheesh.

No offense to the three actors, although I really can’t stand Ted Danson, but please, just leave this franchise well alone. It was never a good idea in the first place, and it’s a ludicrous idea to try and breath life back into it at this stage of proceedings.

Have you heard of a worse idea for a movie remake or sequel? If so, let us know in the comments section.

  • I’ve written a quick blog on Hollywood remakes as part of a module I’m taking at college. If people would be kind enough to read it and leave a comment then that would be great.

  • I think this second sequel is a great idea. You have claimed it is not popular but remember the first “3 Men and a Baby” was the most popular film in it’s year and it DOES have an international cult following who have been blogging for years for a third film so they ARE responding to demand.
I’m not niave as it’s clear that greed is the catalyst driving it so it may not live up to expectations but I hope it goes through and gets made as I’ll be keen to see it!

  • Big fan of Tom Selleck, come on, it would be great if you guys make three men and a bride…. or teenager i really love that idea…

  • “Three Men and a Baby” was charming, “Little Lady” was cute, but I do agree with you. A third movie isn’t necessary.
