Wolverine Trailer Debuts 12/12

Hugh Jackman

Damn it, Hugh, Broadway needs you.

Need a Wolverine fix? Australia just doesn’t do it for you? Well, can you hold out until December 12th? ComingSoon is reporting that that’s when the Wolverine trailer will appear in movie theaters, attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still. This trailer is a theatrical exclusive that won’t appear on TV or online for a while (well, the movie doesn’t open until May 1st, so it’s not like there’s a real time crunch anyway.

The Day the Earth Stood Still is a remake of the 1950s sci-fi film. Keanu Reeves plays an alien. You know things must be at least a little all right with the world when Keanu Reeves is playing an alien.

Wolverine, of course, is an origin story for the X-Men character. It’s directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins.

So if you’re really into what is already one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, then get yourself out there on December 12th. And if you’re in a really good mood, stick around for The Day the Earth Stood Still. Which should be, well, harmless.
