What a Drag: Sandler to Play “Jack and Jill”

Adam Sandler…needs a hit.

Variety reports that Adam Sandler is set to star in “Jack and Jill,” a romantic comedy written by Steve Koren.  Sandler will play both Jack and his twin sister Jill. No word on whether they will be walking up a hill to fetch a pail of water, etc., etc.

Playing twins? This is obviously a blatant bid for an Oscar by Sandler. The only more surefire method would be to play someone with a split personality. Of course, if he really wants to seal the deal, he could make his girl self ugly; movie stars going plain is another tactic. He might want to gain weight too.

Okay, maybe not…or maybe yes. Anyway, “Jack and Jill” is set to film next year for a 2011 release. Sandler will next be seen in “Grown Ups.”
