Twilight News: “Eclipse” To Begin Filming In August

Hey, young ladies! Has your family planned its summer vacation yet? Looking for an alternative to the usual shore/lake/mountains/theme park visit? Well, then how about Vancouver, British Columbia? Ahh, Vancouver in August, a phrase as familiar as “April in Paris…”

Okay, fine as Vancouver may be (and all joking aside, it is a lovely city), you wouldn’t be going there for the scenery or bustling restaurant scene–you would want to go there because “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is set to begin filming there at the Vancouver Film Studios on August 17th. ComingSoon says the the third film in the teen vampire story is scheduled to shoot there until October 31st. David Slade (“30 Days of Night”) is set to direct Melissa Rosenberg’s script.

Here’s ComingSoon’s description of what will happen in this film:

Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Indeed! Goodness! Will you be able to make it to June 30, 2010, when “Eclipse” is scheduled to be released? Well, don’t worry–at least you’ll have “New Moon,” coming to theaters on November 20, 2009, to hold you over.
