Transformers 2 News: Megan Fox Trying to Listen to Director

Most mechanics don’t look like Megan Fox. 

Transformers was one of the biggest hits of last summer and Transformers 2 will no doubt be one of the biggest of next year’s popcorn movie circuit. For many, though–particularly those of the young male persuasion–one of the best parts of the first film was the appearance of the hitherto unknown Megan Fox. And to the eternal joy of that demographic group, she’ll be back for the second movie.

Fox talked to the MTV Movies Blog about what she’s doing in the next movie:

You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike. And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in…I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic placesIt’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.

And in case you were worried that she and Shia might be trying too hard to develop an emotional arc in the middle of all the mechanical mayhem, well, listen to Fox’s description of the direction she has received from auteur Michael Bay:

His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.

And many young men rejoiced everywhere.

(Sorry, I can’t share the excitement about Fox, not being a young man and all that. To me she seems like a nice, pretty starlet, but no different than any of the model-actress-hostesses you’d find leading you to your table at a decent Manhattan restaurant.)
