‘The X-Files’ Movie Premiere To Honour X-Philes

The X-Files: I Want To Believe, is out next weekend in the US, and a week today sees the world première taking place at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. To mark the occasion, the cast and crew of the long-running franchise are going to get the loyal fans, otherwise known as X-Philes involved.
The X-Files has been dead for a good few years now, after being a huge success on television before spawning a movie. Despite the long absence away from our screens, the show’s fans have remained loyal, and are now set to be rewarded with a special event.
According to Dark Horizons, the first 500 fans to turn up to the première will get to sit in special seats with a view of the red carpet. They will then be able to participate in a special conference involving the four people most associated with the show: Lead actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, writer-producer-director Chris Carter and writer-producer Frank Spotnitz.
The event will also reach a wider audience of X-Philes, as it will be broadcast live on a website set up specially for the occasion. Fans on the Internet will be able to ask questions and interact in real time with the stars and minds behind the show, and new film.
The film’s plot has thus far failed to leak, with very little known about the stand alone story. What is clear from the trailers is that Billy Connolly plays the weirdo, and the always-complicated relationship between Mulder and Scully reaches new heights of confusion… sounds good.
