Tarantino Says “Kill Bill 3″ Will Happen

The honeymoon’s over–is a third “Kill Bill” in the offing?

If you thought there were only going to be two volumes of Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill,” well, you might want to make some room on your shelf for a third. In an interview on “Parla Con Me,” an Italian talk show, Tarantino announced, “The Bride will fight again!” (cue ecstatic studio audience applause).

String of credits: I found this story on ComingSoon, which got it from BadTaste.it.

The video of the interview is below–the ”Kill Bill” discussion hits at about the 5.50 mark.  It’s a little hard to understand everything. The host speaks in Italian, and Tarantino is wearing an earpiece that translates the questions. Then as he speaks in English, a translator speaks in Italian right over his response. So it sounded to me as if Tarantino pushed the host into asking about a third “Kill Bill,” as if he was anxious to announce this. She asked another question, which I think must have been something about his heroines being strong women, because he talks about how he was raised by a single mother, who was also a successful businessworman, so he grew up believing women could do anything. Good boy, Quentin.

It seems that “Kill Bill 3,” if it happens, won’t be out until 2014, or later. Aside from Tarantino’s usual slowness (okay, he did “Inglourious Basterds” fast, but ask anyone and they’ll tell you the movie could have use a few more rounds of editing), he says he wants to give the Bride a ten year break to recover all he’s been through. I wonder what Uma Thurman thinks about all this.

Anyway, the video:
