Bryan Mills stays in shape for the third "Taken."
When “The Hangover Part II” came out, critics killed it because it was almost an exact copy of the first one. Nevertheless, it made tons of money. When “Taken 2″ came out, critics killed it because it was almost an exact copy of the first one. Nevertheless, it made money–not the jaw-dropping figures of “The Hangover Part II,” but enough to exceed expectations and make it an extremely profitable venture.
The people behind “The Hangover” movies swear the third one will be different, and now the makers of the “Taken” duo are saying the same thing. On Hollywood.com, “Taken” and “Taken 2″ screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen said:
“We didn’t start talking about [Taken 3] until we saw the numbers. But then we said, ‘Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one.’ And Fox wants us to do a third one.”
Does Liam Neeson, though? Now Neeson’s character Bryan Mills has had his daughter taken. Then he and his wife were taken. So what’s up now? Kamen said:
“We’ve taken everyone we can take — it’s going to go in another direction. Should be interesting.”
Well, they didn’t take his dog. I bet he’d destroy anyone who did that. Though the dog would have to survive, or audiences would never forgive Kamen and company.
Bet on “Taken 3″ for late 2014.
