Stephen Moyer will epically mess up a court case.
Casting! Deadline reports that Stephen Moyer has joined the cast of “The Devil’s Knot,” Atom Egoyan’s feature adaptation of the West Memphis Three story. Reese Witherspoon, Colin Firth, Alessandro Nivola, Kris Polaha, Collette Wolfe, Justin Castor and Kevin Durand also star.
The story, told in the “Paradise Lost” documentaries, is about Jason Baldwin, Damien Echols and Jessie Misskelley, three teens who were convicted and jailed in 1993 for murdering three children in West Memphis, Arkansas, despite a lack of evidence. The trio were finally freed last year.
Moyer will play prosecutor John Fogelman. Witherspoon is playing the mother of one of the murder victims and Firth is playing a private investigaotr.
Moyer will begin work o the movie immediately in order to fit in with his “True Blood” shooting schedule.
