It looks like “Thor 2″ can’t keep those cast members from the first movie away! In an interview with Hey U Guys (not my favorite website name ever) while out promoting his new film “The King of Devil’s Island,” Stellan Skarsgard confirmed that he will return to his role of Dr. Eric Selvig in the sequel to the 2011 “Thor.” Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, and Natalie Portman will also be back. Alan Taylor will direct.
Skarsgard, who shuttles easily between Europe and Hollywood (dropping off his son Alexander in Hollywood along the way, for which we thank him), also confirmed the shooting dates for the film with this quote:
“I will try to combine Thor 2 which starts in August and goes to the end of December with the new Lars Von Trier film.”
Marvel, Lars von Trier, all in a day’s work for Skarsgard.
“Thor 2″ will be released on November 15, 2013.
