Sacha Baron Cohen will find comedy in "The Lesbian."
You know, the other day I read a story in one of the New York tabloids about Cecil Chao Sze-Tsung, a Hong Kong billionaire who was offering a $65 million to any man who would be able to marry his daughter. The catch: the daughter’s a lesbian and is not only not interested in marrying any man, but according to some sources may already be married to her longtime partner. I read this and thought, “That sounds like a great idea for a movie!”
Guess who agrees? Sacha Baron Cohen! Yes, me and SBC, thinking like twins…except he got there first and can get a movie in development at a major studio and I can’t. According to Deadline, he’s reached an agreement to develop the story, tentatively called “The Lesbian,” for Paramount. So far they haven’t chosen a writer yet. I have a feeling it’s not going to be me.
