Rosario Dawson joins the Canadians Egoyan and Reynolds for "Queen of the Night."

Casting news, amongst all the buying and selling at Sundance. Today Deadline (and other outlets, but we’ll go with Deadline) reports that Rosario Dawson has joined “Queen of the Night.” Atom Egoyan will direct and Ryan Reynolds is set to star, with Scott Speedman and Mireille Enos also in the cast.

Egoyan co-wrote the script with David Fraser. Reynolds plays “the father of an abducted daughter who uncovers a series of disturbing clues eight years later that suggest she is still alive.” Dawson will play the detective who works with him to try to solve the case before the trail disappears.

Dawson has a lot of projects coming out in the next year or so. The most high profile are “Trance,” the Danny Boyle film which also stars James McAvoy, and Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” which just started shooting. She’s also in “Chavez,” “Gimme Shelter,” and “Parts Per Billion.”
