Robert Pattinson Considers “Memoirs”

Robert Pattinson, ready for another sad movie relationship.
No, don’t worry, the quite young Mr. Pattinson isn’t ready to sit back, reflect, and pen his own memoirs. Rather, The Hollywood Reporter says that Robert Pattinson is considering taking a role in a film to be called “Memoirs.”
THR says the script is about “two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they struggle to deal with family tragedies.” Will Fetters wrote the original screenplay but Jenny Lumet of “Rachel Getting Married” fame is doing a rewrite. Nice vote of confidence for Mr. Fetters.
Allen Coulter may direct. Coulter’s done a lot of TV, including “The Sopranos.” On the big screen, he directed “Hollywoodland,” a movie that could have been good but was burdened with an overstuffed script.
R Pattz would be in familiar tortured romantic hero territory with this film. It would be a safe choice that would no doubt please his new legions of fans, but wouldn’t really push him as an actor or lay the building blocks for a varied career. Then again, maybe he’s smart to stick within limits for now.
