"Thor 2" gets Kat back.
Sequels aren’t sequels if they don’t have all the characters that people like back. With that in mind, we have news about two sequels that are working on making sure that everyone’s on board again (or in one case, under board, I guess…?).
- According to Deadline, Kat Dennings has signed on to “Thor: The Dark World.” She’ll reprise her role as Darcy Lewis, which reportedly will be expanded. The film will be released on November 8, 2013. Alan Taylor directs, with Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Christopher Eccleston also in the cast.
- Heat Vision says that Ellen DeGeneres is in talks to be in the voice cast of the “Finding Nemo” sequel that has not been officially announced but everyone knows is happening. She would return to her role as Dory, a fish with memory issues. Andrew Stanton, who co-directed the film, is supposed to direct the sequel, which Victoria Strouse is writing. Reportedly DeGeneres has been saying for years that she hoped there would be a sequel to “Finding Nemo,” which remains one of Pixar’s most popular and acclaimed films. So wishes do come true, Ellen, especially at the Magic Kingdom. The original 2003 “Finding Nemo” is getting a 3D release on September 2014. The sequel would likely be out in 2016.
